Rope included could not be threaded through as needed. Had to do single strands instead of the 4 strand rope. It would have taken a plastic shoe lace piece to enclose all 4 strands of rope and then tell people to cut off plastic piece for good watering. This was not your finest moment. If folks take one strand at time, tape each of 4 strands with tape, it works. Cut tape off and do this 11more times. Now try to hang 4 ropes together just to stick rope together. Really!

Purchased this item for my 4 year old granddaughter because she had been wanting to garden. This is a perfect tool for her to see what is actually happening underground. I chose to use the same veggies as pictured since she likes all three and there is more to see than just roots.

Was hard to get the ropes in to put together. Parent had to do it, even 10yo child could not. Have not planted in it yet but not sure the watering system will work. The ropes have sat in water for days and the soil is not getting wet. May need to be watered from the top. The biggest downside though is the wood came cracked. The plastic that the dirt goes in is very bendy so the thick plastic to slide up and down to see the roots is very hard to put back in place. Last, they did not ship out in the time frame they said so it did not arrive in time. In all, I gave a 3 because of shipping and the damaged item out of box. But the watering and other things can be worked around. Cant wait to see if it works as a window when growing.
